Marriott International, the largest hotel company in the world, is trying to attack Airbnb with its own residential property platform.
Marriott offers a selection of over 200 specially selected homes in London to choose from.
The Offer is a six-month scheme in a partnership with Hostmaker’s household management company in London.
Guests can expect extras such as a guaranteed on-site check-up and 24-hour phone support if there are any problems.
They will also receive points on the loyalty schemes of Marriott Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest.
Unlike other hotel chains that entered the housing market, Marriott did not create a new brand and doest not count to Hostmaker’s name to sell its product but instead use one of the existing brands – Tribute Portfolio, a collection of 28 independent hotels all over the world.
The average rental price per night in one or two bedroom house in the offered homes is between £ 200 and £ 250.
